Lead Partner: Aviemore and the Cairngorms Destination Management Limited Trust (ACDMT)
Description
Aviemore and the Cairngorms Destination Management Orgainsation (ACDMO) is the first true detination management organisation (DMO) to be established in Scotland. ACDMO was born out of an active business led marketing group that established ACDMO in November 2006. The aim is to create Aviemore and the Cairngorms as a world class mountain destination making it a great place to live and work.
The ACDMO Community Trust was created to manage and adminster all the activities of this organisation.
In partnership with Carnegie UK Trust, ACDMO Community Trust has looked into ways by which in working together with visitors they might resouce local communities to invest in the infrastructure that both improves the quality of life for residents but also enhances the visitor experience too.

ree key areas have been examined:
- To explore the potential of a visitor voluntary payback initiative
- To develop and deliver a small grants scheme that would be directed towards 'making a real difference' a ground level.
- The influence of public sector policies at local and national levels.
