Community of Practice Host Organisations

Carnegie UK Trust has a long association with rural communities but in recent times we have been amazed by the resourcefulness and innovation they demonstrate. When times get hard it seems that rural communities get going. They, better than anyone else, appreciate the need for secure, safe and affordable food supplies, renewable energy to keep our lights on and careful management of water catchments so that towns are not flooded and that the taps keep running. I believe our “hosts” will not only help to develop resilience in rural communities but be an inspiration of how we can all live more sustainably in future.” Kate Braithwaite, Carnegie Rural Programme Director
